Vented Headset Cup
For situations where situational awareness is important, Setcom offers a “vented” cup for most versions of its dual-ear headsets.
- Vented headsets do not have a speaker in the left cup. In addition, a 1-inch diameter hole is drilled in the left cup and covered with a metal-mesh screen.
- The lack of a speaker and the drilled hole, allow for ambient noise to be heard by the user’s left ear.
- Please note that Setcom’s vented headsets do not have a noise reduction rating. They do not provide hearing protection. Users are advised to use a noise reduction rated headset in environments where ambient noise levels can potentially cause hearing damage.
